CTX TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION. ("CTX") warrants its new products and its parts against defects in material and/or workmanship during the specified warranty period. During this period, CTX will, at its sole option, repair or replace a defective product or part without charge to you. This excludes shipping.

Warranty Period:

1. CTX Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) CTX CRT monitor products are warranted for three (3) years for labor, two (2) years parts and one (1) years CRT from the date of original retail purchase. This warranty does not cover the MS2900 (29" CRT), which is covered by a separate warranty.

2. CTX 15"/17"/18"/19" LCD monitors are warranted for three (3) years for labor, two (2) years parts and  (1) years on the backlight of the product from the date of original retail purchase.

3. CTX Industrial Products: LDS Series and POS Series are warranted for 1 year for parts, labor and panel.

 

These limited warranties only extend to:

1. Products distributed by CTX.

2. Defects in materials and/or workmanship, which occur during normal use.

3. The original consumer purchaser and to no other purchaser or transferee.

4, Products purchased and operated in the Continental U.S.A., Hawaii, Alaska, Territories of the U.S.A. and Canada.

 

These limited warranties do not extend to:

1. Physical damage to products or parts resulting from:

A. Alteration, repair, modification, faulty installation or service by anyone other than an Authorized CTX Service Center.

B. Accident, abuse, or misuse, or maintenance, mishandling, misapplication, or use in violation of instructions furnished by CTX. This includes puncture, scratches, and damage to LCD display panel due to touching panel with sharp/pointed objects (i.e. pencil, pen, pointer, fingernails, etc.)

C. Any damage which occurs in shipment.

D. Any damage caused by acts of God, such as lightening or line surges.

2. Warranty will be voided if the original serial number on the product is removed by accident or intentionally.

3. Products purchased through auctions/online auctions will not be covered by manufacturer warranty.

4. Dead on Arrival - If the monitor is received DOA or fails within 30 days of purchased date, CTX will replace it with a new monitor. CTX will not issue any credit (money) for any defective monitor. Reason, monitors are purchased through the Distributor or Reseller. We do not sell direct.

 

Open Box/Clearance/Refurbish or Display products:

They carry NO WARRANTY and are sold "AS IS." There will be no technical support for these products and any missing software will not be replaced by CTX.

Products Repaired or Replaced by CTX:

They carry a 30-day warranty or the remainder of the original warranty. Retain the RMA number the monitor was repaired or replaced with and the proof of purchase in your records.

Refurbish items are identified with serial number ending with "R"
Example: "xxxxxxxxR"

Missing Item:
Report any missing item to CTX within 7-days of purchase and CTX will ship the missing item at no charge. If the purchaser fails to report within the given time frame, a current charge will be made for the purchase of the missing item (This excludes any open box, clearance, close out or display products).

Procedures for Obtaining Warranty Service:

1. For warranty service information, call your CTX dealer or CTX. CTX's Customer Support telephone number is (877) 688-3288.

2. To obtain warranty service, you will need to provide:

A. A copy of your bill of sale or your proof of purchase

B. Your name

C. Your address

D. The model of the product

E. The serial number of the product

F. A description of the problem(s)

3. You must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization ("RMA") number from CTX Customer Support or Authorized CTX Service Centers within the applicable warranty period, to be used within 30 days of issue. Authorized CTX Service Centers will not accept any returned product without an RMA number. You may also find out the nearest Authorized CTX Service Center by calling the above toll free number.

4. Ship the product to the Authorized CTX Service Center at:

A. Residents of the Continental U.S.A. and Canada are to ship the product, with shipping prepaid for one-way transit to CTX, together with a copy of your bill of sale or other proof of purchase.

B. Residents of Hawaii, Alaska and the Territories of the U.S.A. are to ship the product, with shipping prepaid both to and from CTX, together with a copy of your bill of sale or other proof of purchase.

Note: Include your name, address, the RMA number, a description of the problem(s) on a sheet of paper and attach to the product with adhesive tape. The RMA Number you have obtained from CTX Customer Support or Authorized CTX Service Centers should be written in large size characters on the outside of the package. Ship back all accessories (bases, AC adapter, VGA cable, power chords) with your defective product when obtaining RMA service. All products returned for warranty service must be carefully packaged in the original packing materials or so that product is carefully packaged not to be damaged during transit.

5. Please do not send any non-CTX products. CTX will not be responsible for return shipping, loss, or damage of any non-CTX products.

6. If you send monitors by FREIGHT to the repair center, you must have the FREIGHT COMPANY call CTX to get an appointment for the delivery. If no appointment was made in advance, the truck delivery will be refused.

Limitation of Implied Warranties:
ALL WARRANTIES REQUIRED TO BE IMPLIED BY STATE LAW ARE EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE LIMITED WARRANTIES SET FORTH ABOVE.

Exclusion of Implied Warranties:
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ANY WARRANTIES REQUIRED TO BE IMPLIED BY STATE LAW AS HERBY LIMITED, THE FOREGOING EXPRESS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL CTX BE LIABLE FOR:
SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGE TO OTHER PROPERTY CAUSED BY ANY DEFECT IN THIS PRODUCT, INCONVENIENCE, LOSS OF GOODWILL, LOST PROFITS OR REVENUE, LOSS OF USE OF THIS PRODUCT OR ANY ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT, COST OF SUBSTITUTIVE EQUIPMENT, DOWNTIME COSTS OR CLAIMS OF ANY PARTY DEALING WITH PURCHASER FOR SUCH DAMAGES, RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

Effect of State Law:
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts and/or do not allow the limitation or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.

Sales outside the Continental U.S.A., Hawaii, Alaska, Territories of the U.S.A. and Canada:
